Waxing after-care advice

On the day of your waxing treatment avoid using any body oils or heavy moisturises prior to your treatment.

If it is your first wax and you have been shaving previously it can take a few wax treatments before all of your hairs follow the same growth pattern and achieve the desired result but it is well worth it so keep at it.

It is important to exfoliate regularly durning the month to prevent getting ingrown hairs and to maintain a good regime, followed by a nourishing moisturer - it makes all the difference to your next wax.

Immediately after waxing it is normal for 24 to 48 hours to have a redness to the skin and a little irritation to the effected area. Soothing moisturiser can help after your waxing treatment.

It is important not to have a hot bath, exfoliating your skin, go in direct sunlight, sunbathing or go on a sunbeds. No false tan, don’t swim or use saunas and steam rooms as your skin can be sensitive. Just go home and relax.

It is important to keep the affected area moisturised within unscented moisturiser or a product that has been recommended by your therapist. This can also help to soothe the area.

If you have had a facial waxing it is very important not to touch the affected area or wear make-up to avoid irritation. Avoid using deodorant or perfume in the affected area for 24 hours.

Please don’t shave inbetween your waxing treatments as it effects your wax - it’s really not worth it trust me!

To enable us to achieve the best results we recommend that you get waxing done every 4 to 6 weeks.
